The only thing I care about when it comes to the NFL draft is where my Bama boys go. The first round had only one Alabama player taken (Amari Cooper, #4 to the Raiders), but he's a stud. Raider nation, you guys will love him. Hopefully tonight more will have their names called. #RollTide But for now, I am going to see how the Random 10 matches up with the first ten picks in the draft. Apparently the big buzz on the internet though is about that damn dress on the right. Umm, it is totally white and gold and I am not sorry for seeing it that way. Maybe I am just more perceptive than others. I'm sticking with that. Black and blue? I just don't get it. In other news, February is winding down. Oh man, if only today was the 28th then I could do an end of the month extravaganza. But alas no, we are one day short of that so it's just a basic Random 10. However, we do have some exiles on the island this time so the Tarkus may be lurking around somewhere... As you can tell around these parts I have barely had any time at all to update the blog any. It's a holiday week at Disney and that means one thing: long days with long hours. Nothing like a 73 hour work week to get you all excited for a holiday you can't even spend with your family. #CastMemberLife However, I just could not let Friday come and go without doing a Random 10. It may be brief and concise, but it is getting done. Looking back at last week, Exile Island has a lone occupant. Take a big guess who. Yep:

After last week, I am not really sure how this edition will go. Exile Island seems to be filling up, even though I have been deleting a lot of technically unnecessary crap from my music inventory. I have also been adding more "solid" stuff for a more rounded experience. I hope the effects start to show soon. Speaking of that Exile Island, it currently looks like this:
I was hit with an interesting idea this week of actually making the Random 10 a weekly video, possibly on YouTube. I am currently entertaining that idea. I mean I could see where the video could be at the top of the post with the normal write up underneath. The whole thing has some merit and it's got me thinking...a lot... But until then, it's back to the normal format. Looking back at last week I see that Frank Zappa is banned, but no worries because I went ahead and deleted all of his stuff anyway. Just not my thing. And it's still September so all RW will be ignored as well.

3) Yes/Astral Traveller - I have never really been crazy over this song. As with most older Yes, I covered this song here. 4) No Doubt/Hey You - Who me? I do like their sound. 5) Extreme/Peacemaker Die - This is probably the greatest album no one has heard. If you do not have a copy of Extreme/III Sides to Every Story get it yesterday.
6) Chicago/Elegy:When All the Laughter Dies in Sorrow - They used to care and actually had a message. Banned, but a great spoken piece off Chicago III:

7) Red Hot Chili Peppers/Road Trippin' - These guys do some great sounding stuff sometimes. Never heard this song before but I like it. 8) Cherry Poppin' Daddies/Ding Dong Daddy of the D-Car Line - I also can't say no to a good caboose! 9) The Mahavishnu Orchestra/Awakening - If you're going to be jazzy, this is how you bring it. Man, I can hear some Yes/Relayer in this song. No wonder JA said he was influenced by them. 10) Michael Jackson/Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' - C'mon it's like the greatest selling album of all time. No shame here. Go get'm Captain EO!
And there we go for another week. Chicago gets banned again, but at least RW didn't try to show up. I did delete some of his inventory as well. I go back and forth with him but it is just so much material. The STCS this week is Lynyrd Skynyrd/Sweet Home Alabama. Gulp. I just had a Vongasm. Hold on...let me recover...

August is finally in full bloom and I'm not sure what I am most excited about: Doctor Who in 16 days(!) or Alabama football in 23(!!). At least they won't be on at the same time so I won't be faced with a difficult dilemma like the whole Capt Jack/Tony Stark debate (still time to vote...just saying...). Anywayz, let's focus on the here and now and get down to the random 10. Last week shows us how persistent some bands can be, with The Moody Blues still trying to sneak past the Tarkus to no avail. Hopefully they can stay away for just one week and make themselves eligible again. Here's hoping. Time to spin the wheel of fate... 1) Dream Theater/Only a Matter of Time - My brother Scott has been on me for a long time to listen to these guys. I finally relented and they show up right away. You know what that gets:
2) No Doubt/Happy Now? - Gwen Stefani. Yes please. Album cover winner:
4) Dennis DeYoung/Pilate's Dream - DDY did a Broadway album with this song from Jesus Christ Superstar. I give him a lot of crap but he has an amazing voice.
5) Van Halen/Little Guitars (intro) - Eddie plays a mean acoustic guitar too.
6) Nektar/You're Alone - Thanks for pointing that out guys. Oh and Viggle has no clue what song this is.
7) The Nice/Rondo (69) - This is Keith Emerson's band before he was in Emerson Lake & Palmer. Great experimental stuff.
8) Return to Forever/Celebration Suite Pt.1 - Here's more of that late 60's/early 70's jazz fusion rock stuff.
9) Bronz/Harder Than Diamond - Viggle has no idea from this one hit wonder. Once again, this wasn't the hit. You know what, time to bring the Cybermen Award back:
10) Jon Anderson/Hurry Home (Song for the Pleiades) - This was JonJon's solo album (with members of Toto) that he did right before the ABWH album. I see some elements here that he used later.
And there we have it. I'm thinking of making a "Viggle rule" that if it cannot be identified then it gets deleted. I'm not sure about that though. I'll have to think on that some more.
The STCS song for this week is Trans-Siberian Orchestra/The Safest Way into Tomorrow. Let us rejoice for The Moody Blues have finally been set free! Also, no one got banned this week either. Awesome.

Another Friday is upon us and what a special Friday it is! It's Doctor Who Eve! Yes, the Doctor returns tomorrow. Cannot wait! Until then I will have to pass my time with trivial things like work and, oh I don't know, how about a Random 10!?!

Yeah, so my Facebook page is blowing up this morning because of the "Maraschino Step" being on Good Morning America. So what, you say? I actually work with the guy in the video that started this craze. Yes, one of my conductor trainees has hit the big time!
