Friday and the Random 10 (Where Did July Go? Edition)

Wow, I can't believe it's August already. Seems at Disney we gear up so much for the 4th of July that once it's passed the summer just flies by. Unfortunately the temperatures are not affected one bit. It's still miserable...

Well at least a new month gives us new hope. The Moody Blues could not escape last week's countdown, but at least The Beatles are free as a bird now. As usual the rules and whatnot are up there ↑ at the top.

Let's see what August hits us with...

1) Jane Child/Biology - I've spoken of my crush on her before. I think it was that chain that connected her earring to her nose ring that got me going. Yowza!

2) Genesis/Heathaze - Typical 80's Phil Collins sound.

3) Enigma/In the Shadow, In the Light - Turn everything off and break out the candles...

4) Apollo 440/White Man's Throat - Man so far everything is jazzy and funky.

5) Chicago/Elegy: Canon - Nice, horns only segment of a much larger piece. Album cover winner too:

6) The Human League/Life on Your Own - Another song of theirs I have never heard of, but if you had asked me who it was I could have told you right away.

7) Styx/Kiss Your Ass Goodbye - Glenn Burtnik song when he was still in the band. I love this song.

8) Tommy Shaw/Outside in the Rain - Speaking of Styx, this is when Tommy went solo and left the band to DDY (chills). Burtnik on #7 was actually his replacement.

9) The Moody Blues/Your Wildest Dreams

9) America/Political Poachers - Yeah, umm okay. No idea. I thought they only did love songs and sang about horses in the desert.

10) Velvet Revolver/Psycho Killer - Still haven't gotten into them much yet.

Wow, those Moody Blues don't know when to quit do they? Just one more week and they could have been free and clear, but no they go and get Tarkus'd again. Oh well.

The STCS for the first week in August is Journey/Sand Castles. Bet you've never heard that one have ya? It's from the soundtrack of a Japanese film called Dream, After Dream. It's actually one of my favorite Journey albums. Cool.

As always, stay cool and dry central Florida, and Roll Tide!

I'll let my 80's crush play us out!
