Friday and the Random 10 (Roll Tide Edition)

College football has finally started! Last night was battle of the Carolinas (with a long weather 101), followed by a great back and forth SEC game between Vandy and Ole Miss. But that's all just the appetizer. The Main course starts tomorrow as Bama takes on Va Tech. I am so pumped!

And nothing better to help me get more pumped up than a Random 10! Looking back at last week, I see that no one was banned. Cool. As usual, the rules and whatnot are over there → to the right.

Time for the kickoff!

1) Velvet Revolver/You Got No Right - Haven't listened to them much. Maybe I should more.

2) Yes/Finally - You would swear that this was Asia, if it wasn't for Jon singing. I never cared much for this song from The Ladder. Just doesn't flow for me, though the end is quite beautiful. Album cover winner though (Roger Dean!):

3) Wham!/I Don't Want Your Freedom - Whut? Where the Hell did this come from? Must be on of those 80's compilation CD's. Trust me, I wouldn't have added this on purpose. Cyberman'd!

4) Eurythmics/Was It Just Another Love Affair? - Okay, I have never heard this song before.

5) Yes/The Solution - Open Your Eyes was a pretty sucky album with a lame cover (just the Yes logo). I don't know why they made this album at all. Oh, and banned for next week.

6) Snow Patrol/In My Arms - Something new that was recommended to me.

7) Chicago/Upon Arrival - When they kind of sucked during the disco era. Don't worry though, the love songs came over and over on the next 20 albums.

8) Wendy Carlos/Anthem for Keyboard Solo - Bonus track from the original Tron soundtrack. Have I ever mentioned that she used to be a dude? I think I have...

9) Return to Forever/Earth Juice - Funky jazz.

10) Chicago/Life Is What It Is - While true, it's another bad tune that gets them banned. Move over Yes, you have some company this week.

Well that wasn't quite what I had hoped for. Nothing really awesome to pump me up, and Yes/Chicago gets banned. Maybe the STCS will be better? Eurythmics/When Tomorrow Comes. Nope. Ugh. Well that sucked. Stay cool central Florida and Roll Tide!

Let this get stuck in your head all day:
