The Walt Disney Railroad is in the pre-operational testing phase (I have been back in overalls all week, no more bowties) and is "scheduled" to be up and running tomorrow! And it's on my day off, but no worries. The return to normalcy for me begins on Sunday. Whew, we made it!
And now on to the reason we are all here. Last week was an end of the month Halloween extravaganza of 31 songs. That caused Exile Island to gain a few occupants:
How long before RW becomes mayor? I mean really. I feel a Tarkus coming on too. As usual, the rules and whatnot are up there ↑ at the top.
All aboard!
1) Chicago/90 Degrees and Freezing - Now I am not going to give them grief over this song. It's pretty good and from their most recent album Chicago XXXLMCDXXII.
2) Opeth/Closure - Another one of those contemporary progressive bands that just come off as too metal for me. Oh, and...
3) Opus/Live is Life - The 80's say hello.
4) Def Leppard/Little Bit of Love - From their album of re-makes.
5) Jackson Browne/Take It Easy - I thought this was an Eagles' song.
6) Chicago/Skin Tight - It's about to get really crowded on that island.
7) Jethro Tull/Lick Your Fingers Clean - I'm just going to leave this one right here, and walk away slowly...
8) Journey/Hustler - Album cover winner here just because of Neal Schon's afro.
9) REO Speedwagon/Five Men Were Killed Today - I'm sure this was some political song back in the day since it was released in 1971. Dunno.
10) REO Speedwagon/Music Man - That island is about to get super crowded.
Well, there we go. See, this is one of those Random 10's that I feel uneasy about. Sometimes the randomness doesn't feel very random. Not much I can really do except add more to my inventory and trust the process.
The STCS for this week is Michael Jackson/Human Nature. Of course it is, but at least it lets Return to Forever escape exile. They better hope for some kind of reward or immunity challenges on Exile Island or things might get pretty drastic before too long. Yes gets another week, while RW gets two more. Chicago and REO join the crowd. At least they aren't sent there naked and afraid.
As usual, stay comfy and dry wherever you are, and Roll Tide!
I'll let JB play us out.
