This Day in Music History: Foreigner/Head Games (09/11)

Head Games is the third studio album by Anglo American rock band Foreigner, released on this day in 1979. It charted at #5 on the Billboard 200 chart, and has sold over five million copies in the US alone.

The album’s cover depicts a seemingly upset young woman (portrayed by actress Lisanne Falk) in a men's restroom. The cover art features the tiles of the five A-side tracks of Head Games as graffiti on the bathroom stall. Curiously, "Double Vision" is also seen written, a song not on the album, having been released on their previous album also titled Double Vision. The title track and "Dirty White Boy" were the album's big hits, peaking at #14 and #12, respectively.
