Me and my journey through life, from the highest of highs to the lowest of lows and all wacky, funny, deep, depressing and interesting points in between. My interests are varied from one end of the spectrum to another. Basically, the disappointing side of mediocre.
Another busy day as far as Disney is concerned with two more releases:
From zero to hero, yes indeed!
1997: Hercules. The 35th animated feature in the Walt Disney Animated Classics series, the film was directed by Ron Clements and John Musker. The film is loosely based on the legendary Greek mythology hero Heracles (known in the film by his Roman name, Hercules), the son of Zeus, in Greek mythology. Produced during a period known as the Disney Renaissance, Hercules received positive reviews, and earned $252.7 million in box office revenue worldwide.
It's my birthday! It's my birthday! No really, it actually is my birthday and the best part of the whole thing? Friday the 13th! I get lucky from time to time from being born on the 13th (at some point I am going to have to go back and check to see how many of my birthdays have been on a Friday...)
Last week things got back to (semi) normal around here. It was a regularTop 10 list, but it did give us the first inhabitants of Exile Island in quite awhile. So Yes and Apollo 440 are not eligible to show up in this week's countdown. Will the Tarkus finally make an appearance in 2015? Inquiring minds wants to know, so on with the show!
Enough basketball already! I mean other than waiting for Kentucky to win it all like everyone thinks they will, and Alabama trying to find a new coach, I am all hooped out. But hold on, help is on the way! (cue The Little River Band) Baseball opening day is Sunday! Yeah, the Braves are going to suck, but at least they are playing a game outside. Then again, I am probably the only person that actually likes baseball anyway. But before we fill out those lineup cards and sit down with some dogs and a beer, lets take a quick review of last week by following this link, or trying to figure out the artists from the cool picture below:
As always the rules and whatnot are up there ↑ at the top next to the Home tab.
Spring training is in full bloom down here in central Florida, but the main thing going on is March Madness. Yes, the tournament is in full swing as of yesterday. My bracket is, well, worthless now. As most years I hardly make it past round one. At least I have opening day to look forward to in a few weeks. Maybe the Random 10 will be full of Final Four teams and possibly a Cinderella or two. But first, as a quick review of last week, you can follow this link, or try and figure out the artists from the cool picture below:

Well here we are once again, staring at another Friday. It's also the last day of February which means The Moody Blues and Yes are eligible to come off the disabled list next time around. Taking a look at last week, it appears no one new was banned either.
I don't know how I'm feeling right now. Kinda meh. Oh well, let's roll out the music and see how things turn out. As usual, the rules and whatnot are up there ↑ at the top. Oh, and I've decided to bring my goatee back so this week's music should rock!
Well it's that time to be random again! Looking back at last week I can see that REO is banned, as well as basically anything "live". As usual, the rules and whatnot are over there → to the right.
Here we go!
1) Journey/Just the Same Way - Album cover winner right off the bat!
2) Chicago/Anxiety's Moment - Great instrumental track from Chicago II.
3) Grand Funk Railroad/I'm Your Captain (Closer to Home) - Freaking epic! Also:
4) Michael Jackson/Speed Demon - Another one I have never heard of.
5) Def Leppard/Animal - Another awesome track!
6) Yes/Starship Trooper - Finally a studio track and a Yes classic. I did posts on this album a long time ago (Side 1, Side 2).
7) Rick Wakeman/Thoughts of Love - RW! This must be his album about emotions.
8) Rick Wakeman/Twilight - Ugh, and now his album about parts of the day. All kidding aside, RW on the piano is amazing, although in this case it gets him banned.
9) Rick Wakeman/A Painting of Our Love - Something like this was bound to happen eventually just from sheer numbers. No more RW for July!
10) Boston/My Destination - Hell yeah! Side 1 of Third Stage is meant to be listened to as a whole story, with this being the finale and a reprise of Amanda. The last great Boston album.
Well there it is, some great classics along with RW getting banned for July (I know you are sad about that). The STCS for this week is Disney's Hercules/Go The Distance. Errr what? Never mind. Let's erase that from our brains by letting the Railroad play us out!
Well we've come to the end of the week and you know what that means! Time to set that media/mp3 player or Ipod on random and list the first ten songs that pop up and hope for nothing embarrassing. Or for any Rick Wakeman, which we have seem to avoided the last few weeks (old joke). And now, on with the show!
1) Yes/Soon - this is actually the end part of a much larger piece of music (Gates of Delirium) which was edited as a single. It might be the most beautiful music Yes has ever done.
2) Pink Floyd/The Gunner's Dream - so we are starting off today mellow I see...
3) RHCP/Taste the Pain - wow, haven't heard anything from the Peppers in awhile
4) Tommy Shaw/Love You Too Much - one of his early 80's solo albums in between Styx and Damn Yankees
5) Trans-Siberian Orchestra/Bach Lullaby - from one of their non-Christmas CD's. Short and sweet. Like me.
6) Def Leppard/Rock! Rock!(Till You Drop) - album cover winner here!
7) Disney's Hercules/The Big Olive - whuh?
8) Def Leppard/Excitable (Orgasmic Mix) - ok, did they do like 10 mixes for every song on Hysteria?
9) Camel/Lunar Sea - whoa, for a second there when it started playing I thought it was RW
10) Styx/Heavy Water - go JY!
Well that wraps up another week. Nothing too bad there, even though I'm not sure why Hercules is in there. Now if Little Mermaid had popped up that would be a different story. The Spinal Tap CS this week is Phil Collins/If Leaving Me is Easy. Start mellow, end mellow.
