As always the rules and whatnot are up there ↑ at the top next to the Home tab.

The Beatles just can't seem to get off Exile Island no matter what they do. They are joined by Kansas this week. This means they were bad last week and cannot appear in the countdown below.

1) Billy Joel/Getting Closer (The Bridge) - To be honest I am just not that familiar with this album or his newer stuff. Sounds like the typical Mr William Joel though.
2) Emerson, Lake & Palmer/Gone Too Soon (In the Hot Seat) - This almost sounds like Greg Lake with just a different band or something. But any album cover with a train on it is a winner in my book.
3) Def Leppard/No Matter What (Yeah!)- This is their remake of the Badfinger song. I like the original better.
4) Loverboy/This Could Be the Night (Loverboy Classics) - Wow, this song is horrible. Please stop trying to hit the charts with love songs or it will ruin your career.
6) The Jimi Hendrix Experience/Little Wing (Axis as Bold as Love) - Okay I must admit I am not very familiar with much of his music. Wicked album cover and title though.
7) Jackson Browne/Redneck Friend (For Every Man) - A lot of his music sounds exactly the same to me. I mean pretty good stuff though. If you like one, you will like them all I suppose.
8) Maggie Reilly/Moonlight Shadow (There and Back Again) - I have no idea where I even got this song. Looks like some 80's compilation CD. More like the 1780's. On the Shire.
9) Chicago/It's Alright (Chicago XVIII) - So this one doesn't totally suck, but it has too many love songs again. After the blockbuster that Chicago 17 was even Peter Cetera knew it was time to bail out before this album.
10) AC/DC/Ride On (Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheep) - Epic. I just want to have a seat in a bar, order a beer and listen to AC/DC and be left alone

The STCS for this week is Rick Wakeman/Children of Chernobyl (No Expense Spared). He has a great sense of humor but this is a serious instrumental. At least he didn't get banned for it like he usually does. Kansas gets to leave the mayor's domain, but The Beatles wasted no time in getting another week and another song deleted. I still need a better idea for the Tarkus though, and possibly Exile Island too.

I'm gonna let AC/DC play us out!
Broke another promise and I broke another heart
But I ain't too young to realize that I ain't too old to try
Try to get back to the start
