I don't know how I'm feeling right now. Kinda meh. Oh well, let's roll out the music and see how things turn out. As usual, the rules and whatnot are up there ↑ at the top. Oh, and I've decided to bring my goatee back so this week's music should rock!
And the survey says...
1) Van Halen/Take Your Whisky Home - Old school VH with David Lee Roth.
2) Steve Howe/For This Moment - Another demo that became something much larger. This one evolved into The Revealing Science of God from Tales from Topographic Oceans.
3)
4) Chicago/Sophisticated Lady - You would think when they did a big band CD that it would be awesome, but no.
5) Journey/Chain Reaction - Right before they jumped the shark and still rocked a little bit.
6) Jimmy Buffett/The Weather is Here, Wish You Were Beautiful - I think this is telling me I need some time at the beach.
7) Pink Floyd/Terminal Frost - Wow, one that doesn't sound like it sucks. Maybe they should stick to the instrumentals.
8) Jimmy Buffett/Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes - Fine, fine I'll go to the beach already. However, you Jimmy, are banned for next week.
9) Meg's Garden/Soundtrack (Disney's Hercules) - What? Again? I didn't even know I had this and it shows up twice. Congrats on getting banned, it's been a slice.
10) Zero to Hero/Take a Guess - No comment.
Anyway, some of this was to be expected. I got a new computer this week and have still been setting up the libraries and whatnot. I guess I should have double checked before I started this. Hopefully it will be all better next week. The STCS for this week is Jackson Browne/The Load Out. Now that's a great song, and a great one to play us out on.
As always, stay cool central Florida, and Roll Tide!
1) Toad the Wet Sprocket/ Something’s always wrong- The Obligatory toad shows up once again
ReplyDelete2) Chroma Key/Graveyard Mountain Home- The original Dream Theater keyboardist Kevin Moore’s solo thing. Moody /atmospheric stuff. Mostly instrumental.
3) Dream Theater/The Mirror- Speaking of which….From “Awake” One of my faves.
4) Quiet Riot/Bad Boy-from “Condition Critical”- a vastly underrated band.
5) Dream Theater/Regression- From “Metropolis Pt. 2”- concept album-Banned
6) Yngwie Malmsteen/ Golden Dawn- From “Fire and Ice” one of his many albums I haven’t listened to…
7) Styx/Cold War….you know
8) Symphony X/ The Damnation Game- One of the best bands out there. Symphonic/metal
9) Within Temptation/Pearls of Light-Beautiful and moody- female lead singer
10) Chris Isaak/Sweet Leilani- from “Baja Sessions” my favorite from him.
