Friday and the Random 10 (Soundtrack Edition)

Last week things got back to (semi) normal around here. It was a regular Top 10 list , but it did give us the first inhabitants of Exile Island in quite awhile. So Yes and Apollo 440 are not eligible to show up in this week's countdown. Will the Tarkus finally make an appearance in 2015? Inquiring minds wants to know, so on with the show!

As usual the rules and whatnot are up there ↑ next to the home tab.

And now for some music!

1) Disney's Hercules/Speak of the Devil (Soundtrack) - This is only just an instrumental from the soundtrack. I couldn't even tell you what part of the movie it is from. No idear.

2) Jimmy Buffett/Coconut Telegraph (Boats Beaches Bars and Ballads) - I get nervous every time Jimmy shows up because of a countdown where media player was misbehaving and he showed up like four times.

3) The Moody Blues/The Swallow (Strange Times) - Mellow as always. No matter what the album, they will always be my "soundtrack to a dream".

4) Wendy Carlos/Wormhole (Tron Soundtrack) - Ok wow that's two Disney soundtracks so far. Luckily I think that is all I have. And Caitlyn Jenner? Nope, Wendy Carlos took the plunge years before Bruce did. Look it up.

5) AC/DC/Rocking All the Way (Black Ice) - Now that's what I'm talking about! I am so glad these guys are still alive and kicking rocking!

6) Rick Wakeman/Wooly Willy Tango (Rhapsodies) - Well let's add this to the list of things by him I had never heard before. Hey, it is hard keeping up with all his stuff. I am only currently up to 1983. And wow at that hair RW.

7) Toto/I Will Remember You (Africa: The Best of Toto) - And yet somehow I do not remember this song at all. Then again, after "Africa" there is nothing that can compare.

8) The Muppets/When Love is Gone (The Muppet Christmas Carol soundtrack) - Is this technically Disney too? You would think I would actually know that answer. Anyway, you know this song brought a tear to your eye during the movie.

9) Absolute Elsewhere/Miracles of the Gods: El Enladrillado (In Search of Ancient Gods) - This is one of those random jazzy, space age instrumental albums that I found. Bill Bruford on drums is what led me here. This is kind of like a soundtrack to Chariots of the Gods.

10) Def Leppard/Excitable (Orgasmic Mix) (Hysteria Deluxe Edition) - Back when they has several "mixes" of every single song on their albums.

********************************************************************************

The STCS for this week goes to the Deep Purple/Listen, Learn, Read On (The Book of Taliesin ). Some of the Yes fans comments I have read over the years really glorifies this band. This is the only reason I have added them to my inventory. I guess I need to give them more of my time. As far as the rest goes, there were several soundtracks showing up and, sadly, no need for the Tarkus so the exiles get to go free. Maybe next time...

********************************************************************************

As always stay warm/cool and comfy wherever you are. Go Braves and Roll Tide!

Def Leppard. Why not?

Are you excited?
