Survivor Season 37: David Vs. Goliath Week 11 Recap

For Survivor's 37th season, 20 brand-new castaways (8 remaining) will be sorted into two groups: The Davids, who have scratched and clawed their way through life to prove themselves, overcome adversity, and earned everything they've got. And then there's the Goliaths, who come from a place of privilege and have capitalized on their advantage to crush the competition. But every Goliath has an Achilles heel, and every David has a secret weapon.

Kalokalo

After tribal and back at camp, Nick was very upset that he was blindsided by the vote. He didn't understand that all that meanuevering they did with idols and advantages to get a majority in the game is now gone. "Mason-Dixon" is apparently dead.

Reward Challenge (Food with their loved ones)

At this point we got to meet family members and loved ones from home. There were many tears.
 The challenge itself was done in pairs, with one group winning and bringing two others with them.

Mike/Davie got through the obstacle first followed by Christian/Gabby (you knew they'd be paired up). Kara/Allison was next with Nick/Angelina dragging up the rear.

Mike/Davie were also the first to dig up their key. Every time it involves digging in the sand for something I think back of that season that had all the people passing out.

Nick/Angelina were actually the first to get their balls unlocked with the keys, and also the first to get both balls up on the beam to win the reward. They also got to choose two more and they went with Davie and Mike.

At the reward everyone seemed to agree that this was the final four everyone wanted...well except for Davie, who wasn't as tight with the others as they were with each other.

Gabby, after seeing Christian comfort his girlfriend(!), realized that's the role he is playing on the island, so she might need to distance herself from that (jealous much?). She also realized that every move they have made in tandem, gets him credit and not her. She spoke to Allison and Kara about this being the time to blindside him.

Individual Immunity Challenge

Everyone had to stand on a small perch and hold a pole connected to a bucket of water. Fall off the perch or raise your pole too high or too low that it drops the bucket and you lose.

Before Jeff could finish his monologue Mike was out. As Jeff was explaining the next required move, Gabby dropped her bucket. Then Allison and Angelina dropped.

Nick was next, followed by Christian stepping off. Davie then dropped leaving Kara with immunity.

Tribal Council

The talk was still Christian, and he thinks it's Allison. Gabby then hits up the rest of the group, but they were unsure because they know he has an idol. They debated maybe writing Gabby down as a fall back in case he does use his idol (karma?). Davie was suspiciously quiet, and approached Christian because he feels like him being a threat is a shield for him. Christian then feels he needs to repair the damage done with Alec and they called a truce with Allison as the target.

After the vote, Christian decided to use his immunity idol. He got 5 votes that didn't count. The next name pulled out was Allison, and Gabby said i'm so sorry...until her name came out next. That left one vote and it went to Gabby who was sent home. So that leaves us with (total votes received in parentheses):

Davie (1), Kara, Allison (5), Christian (15), Mike, Angelina (6), and Nick*

*Has a Hidden Immunity Idol. 
Davie found one in Week 2, and used it in Week 8 on Christian. 
Dan found one in Week 1 and Week 5, and used one of them on Angelina in Week 8, and the second one in Week 9. It was nullified by Carl.
Christian found his in Week 9 and used it this week.
Nick found his in Week 10.

**Has an Advantage
Carl got an "Idol Nullifier" on Exile Island in Week 4 and played it on Dan's idol in an epic Week 9.
Nick found the "Steal a Vote" in Week 8, and used it on Allison in Week 9.
