Survivor Season 37: David Vs. Goliath Week 10 Recap (Double Episode)

For Survivor's 37th season, 20 brand-new castaways (10 remaining) will be sorted into two groups: The Davids, who have scratched and clawed their way through life to prove themselves, overcome adversity, and earned everything they've got. And then there's the Goliaths, who come from a place of privilege and have capitalized on their advantage to crush the competition. But every Goliath has an Achilles heel, and every David has a secret weapon.

Kalokalo

After tribal and back at camp, Angelina was pissed again after hearing her name as a "contingency plan". She knew it as a lie.

Nick and Davie knew that since an idol was played, usually one goes back in the game. They decided to still get up early in the morning to search while the others slept. Nick found a clue for one, but he had to slip away from camp at night to find it.

Reward Challenge (Picnic)

Not much important happened here. Alec, Gabby, Christian, Allison and Mike won - and each got an emotional letter from home. Half of them also got sick from eating too much.

Nick had snuck away from camp to find the idol, when soon after Allison got up hurling away on the beach. Davie was keeping watch and being "lookout" hoping Nick could get back unseen. He did after finding the idol.

Individual Immunity Challenge

Everyone had to stand on a small perch and hold onto two handles above their head. Lose grip or fall off and you're eliminated. Angelina, Carl and Nick took the option of not participating for a giant bowl of nachos that they could eat only as long as the challenge lasted. And boy did it last...

Mike and Davie fell before too long, followed by Kara and Allison. That left three.

Gabby fell after the two hour mark. She was so valiant. You go girl!

And that left Christian and Alec. At the three hour mark, Christian started telling stories to Jeff. It was hilarious and lasted another two hours! Alec finally got dizzy and stepped off leaving Christian with immunity.

Tribal Council

The reason Alec fought so hard was that he knew his name was being thrown out there, especially by Carl. Plus, his showing at challenges as a "beast" made him a major threat to everyone. Alec tried to flip things back around on Carl as being the "Godfather" of the camp. It basically came down to the shift in balance of the power from the Goliaths to the Davids.

Carl got one vote. Alec got the rest to be sent to the jury. So that leaves us with (total votes received in parentheses):

Carl (1), Davie (1), Kara, Allison, Christian* (10), Gabby, Mike, Angelina (6), and Nick*

Reward Challenge (Cruise w/food)

Not much important happened here either other than Carl getting hammered drunk. When everyone was reunited back at camp, all the schemes started.

Carl was telling everybody they should just agree on Allison being next so that there's no scrambling around. He knows that Gabby is tight with her, so he tells Christian to tell her that the vote is for Angelina instead. Like he's going to lie to her.

Christian of course tells her the "plan" (wink,wink) and they wonder if they can get others into a plan to vote out Carl. Allison is an obvious yes and it ends up with Mike as the swing vote. He said his choice was between the Godfather and Wonder Woman. Classic.

Individual Immunity Challenge

Before they even started, Angelina had this wild trade idea for rice that they were running desperately low on. He counter-offered with someone sitting out the challenge. Angelina accepted and sat out for the tribe.

The challenge was to go over an obstacle, spin a stick off a pole and then walk a beam, collecting block letter puzzle pieces as you go. This is one of those where everyone ends up at the end together trying to figure out the puzzle.

Carl spelled out "perception" but it was wrong. Allison gave out a large "oh" and started spelling furiously, but Davie was a second faster after seeing it too and spelling out "perspective' to win immunity.

Tribal Council

With immunity having no bearing on the situation, the main thing here is was it Allison, or did they flip enough people to get out Carl?

Allison got four votes, but Carl got the other five to be sent home. So that leaves us with (total votes received in parentheses):

Davie (1), Kara, Allison (4), Christian* (10), Gabby, Mike, Angelina (6), and Nick*

*Has a Hidden Immunity Idol. 
Davie found one in Week 2, and used it in Week 8 on Christian. 
Dan found one in Week 1 and Week 5, and used one of them on Angelina in Week 8, and the second one in Week 9. It was nullified by Carl.
Christian found his in Week 9.
Nick found his this week.

**Has an Advantage
Carl got an "Idol Nullifier" on Exile Island in Week 4 and played it on Dan's idol in an epic Week 9.
Nick found the "Steal a Vote" in Week 8, and used it on Allison in Week 9.
