Music Monday: Styx Live Albums (2000-2002)

After Brave New World, the band was ready to move forward touring, but Dennis DeYoung wasn't. They went on without him and replaced him with Canadian Lawrence Gowan. Also, with Chuck Panozzo focusing on his health concerns, Glen Burtnik returned to Styx (yay!), this time as bass player though, with Chuck participating on a part-time basis, sitting in as his health permitted. Styx's new lineup released several live albums and toured extensively during this period.

Friday and the Random 10 (Hurricane Matthew Edition)

Oh yeah, it's THAT time of the year down in the FL too. People ask me, does Disney close for hurricanes? Yep. If it's a matter of guest safety then they will close (last time was in '04 I believe). They even have "rideout crews" that you can sign up for to do sandbags, move trashcans, etc. I always sign up for that because it sounds fun. And they put you up in a nice hotel.

UPDATE: Disney is closed today Friday, Oct 7.

So let's pass some time to randomized music while watching to see if Jim Cantore shows up on Main Street, USA.

Oh look. Richmond's Von's still alive. Yes, yes I know it has been awhile. Work has been work and the weeks have flown by. And now summer is almost over and it's creeping up on October. At long last our terrible national nightmare is close to being over! A cure for Ebola? No. Glee being cancelled? Not even. The Auburn football team being given the death penalty for excessive cheating? $cam says hi, but not that either...

The Walt Disney Railroad is in the pre-operational testing phase (I have been back in overalls all week, no more bowties) and is "scheduled" to be up and running tomorrow! And it's on my day off, but no worries. The return to normalcy for me begins on Sunday. Whew, we made it!

Friday and the Random 10 (Football is Back Edition)

You all know I love me some baseball. The pennant races are heating up as the season is winding down, but wait? What is that on my TV? Is that college football I see? Is it time for my beloved Crimson Tide to start its march for (hopefully) another national championship? Yes it is. Booyah!

It also means that fall is coming, and hopefully, soon enough, cooler weather down here. The temps down here are still in the 90's with the first Not So Scary Halloween Party three (!) days away. Yes, I said three days. As in Monday. Happy Labor Day ya'll, now give me some candy.

With all that being said, let's get down to the real reason we are here. Looking back at last week I see that RW and The Beatles got banned. Let's see if I am right about my Tarkus prediction.

Friday and the Random 10 (Zig Zaggety Edition)

Man, the life of a Disney cast member can be so time consuming during the summer. There is always a need for you to work somewhere so it's not unusual to put in 60-70 hours a week for several weeks in a row if you can handle it. I am in the middle of a stretch like that now.

I certainly do not get to blog as much as I want to, but I do try to update Twitter or Instagram with stuff where I can to fill in the gaps. You should be able to see them over to the right of this blog. Follow me there for more of my day to day life, especially if you are interested in the Disney side of cast member life.

And now for the real reason everyone is here. Last week's countdown was pretty straightforward with no one getting banned so everyone is fair game. I'm still thinking about that "Viggle" rule though. As usual the rules and whatnot are up there ↑ at the top.

I haven't done one of these in quite awhile. I have been trying to be more diligent in my blog posts, so in keeping up with that, here are my Top 10 posts for the past month.

3. Yes/Heaven & Earth - My review of the new Yes album, which surprisingly got me a lot of traffic.

2. Still popular from over two years ago (mainly from the images I'm guessing) is a list of my Top 10 favorite Yes album covers. This post is actually #2 all time.

Okay and now the #1 post from the month. Like there was any doubt. Apparently all I need to do is mention @SioneMaraschino and my blog explodes. It was so popular it even cracked my All Time Top 10 posts at #7 (and still climbing) in just over a week!

Friday and the Random 10

Another week gone by, another week closer to those dreaded holidays. Ugh. The only shining light in the distance is the fact that we are only about 8 days away from Doctor Who returning. Now that is something to get excited about. You know what else is exciting? Randomness! Well, except for last week. That was kind of a dud. No one got banned which is unfortunate because it was basically 70% suck.

Anyway, thinking positive this time around. Making a dream board, listening to The Secret, changing my fate a la Brave, etc. This week can't be worse right? As usual, the rules and whatnot are over there → to the right.
