This Day in Music History: Journey/Frontiers (02/22)

Released on this day in 1983, Frontiers was Journey's follow up to their blockbuster album Escape. It reached #2 on the Billboard 200 album chart.

Even though it spurned out four top 40 singles: "After the Fall" (#23), "Send Her My Love" (#23), "Faithfully" (#12), and "Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)" (#8), this album was a disappointment to me. The effects of "Open Arms" sent the band on direct course to the Love Song Spiral of Doom©, and basically castrated Neal Schon.

Oh look. Richmond's Von's still alive. Yes, yes I know it has been awhile. Work has been work and the weeks have flown by. And now summer is almost over and it's creeping up on October. Have I mentioned the Halloween parties have started? Like weeks ago? I need to buckle down and get back to being creative. Back to your room Richmond! It's music time!

Friday and the Random 10

Life seems to be getting to that part of year where everything changes. Kids going back to school, football starting soon, etc. One thing you can always count on is the Random 10. I mean, it's become like an institution for ya'll right? (and by ya'll I mean both of my readers). Anyway, looking back at last week, I see no one got banned. Must have been all that RW I deleted. As usual, the rules and whatnot are over there → to the right.

Friday and the Random 10

Now that I have finished that other wimpy post, it's time for something manly. How about some music? And let's make it random! Yeah, you know the deal. The rules and whatnot are over there → to the right as always. Looking back at last week I see that Chicago and, ummm who would that be, oh yeah Rick Wakeman are banned for this week. On a side note, I deleted a lot of RW last week, only leaving the actual classics. The rest was just...unnecessary.
