Friday and the Random 10 (Silence is Golden Edition)

You know, I keep trying with the video/podcast thing and keep running into roadblocks. This week I am just going back to old school while I sort out my options (that and I am so far behind this week I don't have time to do the full version anyway. Sad but true.) Oh well, it's all about the music anyway:

Friday and the Random 10 (Triskaidekaphobia Edition)

Florida is still not cooperating y'all. They filmed a lot of the Christmas Day events at the Magic Kingdom this week (in case of bad weather) and most of the time it was a chilly 90+ degrees. It just ain't right. I'm gonna move to Michigan, or Hoth, I hear they're about the same in winter...

Anyway, at least there is one thing to perk me up a bit. Today is one of my favorite days: Friday the 13th! I have detailed before my love for thirteen. Wore it all through high school and college. So, when the Random 10 falls on this particular day I get to share more songs.

Friday and the Random 10 (Florida Sucks Edition)

Well last week was the Halloween edition with a song for every day in October. Now it is time to turn the calendar over to November and start worrying about the holidays to come. Yeah, it's all out there in front of us. The Magic Kingdom is all decked out for Christmas already with decorations and the big tree going up. I walked through Town Square today with "Winter Wonderland" playing at a nice chilly 88 degrees. Florida sucks y'all.

Music, please take me away from this madness...

Friday and the Random 10 (Rock & Roll HOF Edition)

So, the new nominees are out for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and most of it just leaves me scratching my head. Rock & Roll?!? You keep using that phrase but I don't think it means what you think it means. Chic? Janet Jackson? Chaka Khan? Let me say that again. Umm, Chaka Kahn? I feel for you honey. I do, but no.

This isn't a music HOF, it's rock & roll! I voted for The Cars, Chicago (yeah I know I give them a hard time but the 70's stuff is legendary), Deep Purple, and of course, the most deserving in the universe and basically how the frack are they not in there already, YES.

P.S. Who the Hell are The J.B.'s? And N.W.A.??? Not on my planet. My world is more like this:
