Psych: Season 1 Episode 3 Recap (Speak Now or Forever Hold Your Piece)

Thanks to a childhood spent with a family of cops, Shawn Spencer possesses an incredible photographic memory and notices seemingly insignificant details. These traits allow him to spend his jobless days providing the police with mystery solving tips - but his knowledge soon makes him a suspect. In order to clear his name, the unlikely sleuth declares he has clairvoyant abilities and launches his own investigative agency, Psych.

Episode 3: Speak Now Or Forever Hold Your Piece

Flashback Scene: Shawn's dad teaches him the "right way" to play hide and seek. 

The Case: A missing heirloom ring that is part of a very prestigious wedding.

Shawn and Gus infiltrate a high scale hotel and scout around the real investigation of the theft. The only suspects are both missing: a hotel manager and the best man. When they accidentally find the body of the manager in the dumbwaiter, that leaves only the best man unaccounted for.

Gus nickname: Not a real one like the others, but he does introduce Gus to the wedding family as "Peter Panic".

Shawn throws a bachelor party for the guys so they can interview them while drunk. After they have eliminated everyone, they move on to the bridesmaids.

Pineapple Sighting:

Shawn pieced together after seeing the bride's sister use some slight of hand, that she had swiped the ring but had nowhere to stash it. Adding in the fact that she was overly crazy about the bouquets, he figured out she had hid it in her own and planned to just walk out with it. Of course he interrupted the entire wedding to accuse her.
