Friday and the Random 10 (Justify My Countdown Edition)

Not much to say.

Music!

********************************************************************************
Rick Wakeman was added to Exile Island (again) last week and continues to add to his all time ranking as the mayor. And as usual, the rules and whatnot are up there ↑ at the top near the home tab.

Smoke'm if you got'm!

1) Led Zeppelin/Stairway to Heaven (Led Zeppelin IV) - Wow, and it starts legendarily. We might as well cancel the rest of the countdown.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2) Billy Idol/Dancing with Myself (Greatest Hits) - I hate when the song has a cool 80's video, but it's nowhere to be found. I remember how much me and my friends enjoyed David Lee Roth's video (Just a Gigolo) that parodied and electrocuted Billy. Good times.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3) Pink Floyd/Atom Heart Mother (Atom Heart Mother) - 24 minutes of meh.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

4) Styx/Lorelei (Come Sail Away) - Wow, how appropriate. I took my daughter Lorelei to see Dennis DeYoung at EPCOT for her birthday this week. DDY got sick and had to cancel. We got Tiffany instead. Not. The. Same.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

5) Styx/Man in the Wilderness (Rockers) - Welp, here we go with Exile Island again. Move over RW. Two from Styx in a row but neither from their original albums. Weird. Enjoy the extended version.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

6) The Nice/The Thoughts of Emerlist Davjack (The Thoughts of Emerlist Davjack) - From the debut album of Keith Emerson's band. The band members were Keith Emerson, David O'List, Brian Davison, and Lee Jackson. Get it?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

7) Roger Hodgson/Give Me Love, Give me Life (In the Eye of the Storm) - I had recently wrote another piece on Roger and his Had a Dream (Sleeping with the Enemy) song from the same album. No video though.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

8) Bon Jovi/Bad Medicine (Greatest Hits) - Yay for original videos. And Sam Kinison.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

9) Madonna/Justify My Love (Ultimate Best) - I got nothing.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

10) The Moody Blues/Gypsy (To Our Children's Children's Children) - They were such moody hippies.

The STCS for this week goes to The Mahavishnu Orchestra/When Blue Turns Gold (Mahavishnu). Probably way too mellow and jazzy for Spinal Tap. Styx of all acts gets sent to Exile Island this week. The bad good news is that there was no need for the Tarkus, so RW gets to return to the land of the living. However, there is still a chance of it showing up next week. Stay tuned

Stay cool/dry/comfy wherever you are, avoid pumpkin spice flavored anything, be safe, and Roll Tide!

Turn that blue to gold!
