Before we get things going, how about that Random Ten last week? You can take a quick review by following this link, or trying to figure out the artists from the cool picture below:

Exile Island is finally free of inhabitants so anyone is fair game this week. Being on Exile Island means you broke the rules by showing up more than once the prior week and cannot appear in the countdown below.

1) U2/One (Achtung Baby) - You know, I still do not get them. I tried them and do like some of their songs, but I just don't get what the big deal is.
2) Rick Wakeman/Without Love (Themes) - RW is at it again. No idea what the theme of this album is, although I see a soccer ball for some reason? Dunno.
3) Kansas/All I Wanted (Power)- I think this is a fantastic album. It is one of my favorites from the 80's where every 70's band had to now be hip and sing love songs. Meh. Stay true to yourself.
4) Emerson, Lake & Palmer/Pirates (Works, Vol 1) - Back before pirates were cool, this song blew me away. Some people didn't like this album, but I enjoyed how each one of them got a side and then the last side was them together.
5) Chicago/The Greatest Love of All (Chicago XII - Hot Streets) - Remember my previous comment about 70's bands and love songs? People's Exhibit A. And I have no idea why this album has an actual name as opposed to all the others.
6) Rachmaninoff/Piano Concerto No. 4 (The Four Piano Concertos) - I forgot what I was watching or reading that got me curious about Rachmaninoff so I added some to my inventory.
7) Yes/Golden Age (demo)(Paris Sessions) - This is one of the demos from the so called "Paris Sessions" after the Tormato album. It was released as bonus tracks on the next album Drama, as were all the others.
8) Spirits and Worm/Spirits and Worm (Spirits and Worm) - No I didn't make a mistake with cut/paste. This song is the same as the band's name, which was also the title of the album. This is some late 60's psychedelic junk I found. Not sure why because it's basically awful.
9) The Black Eyed Peas/Simple Little Melody (The E.N.D.) - Every now and then I try to be somewhat contemporary and slightly cool. Hey, I can get funky occasionally... just when no one is watching.
10) Hall & Oates/You've Lost That Loving Feeling (The Very Best of Hall & Oates) - And then we get to this which only proves I'm whiter than white. They had some great songs in the 80's!

The STCS for this week is ABBA/Our Last Summer (Super Trouper). How's that for some awesome metal?!? Who knows, maybe the guys in Spinal Tap have a sensitive side and really dig ABBA. It could happen. Oh, and I am not ashamed of liking them.
This was a good mix with no repetitions so Exile Island gets to stay empty. That also means the Tarkus gets to rest up as well. Hopefully I will come up with better ideas for both of them at some point. Without them in the countdown though it just lacks...action? Potential for excitement? Once again, dunno. This is an ever evolving thing. Check out the first Random Ten ever if you want proof.

As always stay warm/cool and comfy wherever you are. Go Braves and Roll Tide!
I'm gonna let Kansas play us out. Enjoy.
How many times will it take
Hurting me the way you do
How many times till I break
You're hurting me the way I'm loving you the way I do
