Deep Cuts and Hidden Gems: Kansas/Ghosts

Sometimes, there are some songs that get lost on albums (or are left off the album altogether) that are truly great. Most of the time it isn't even recognized until years later. So this is a spot where I would like to put those songs in the spotlight for everyone to hear, and hopefully appreciate like I do.

The year was 1988 and Kansas released In the Spirit of Things, a follow up to their 1986 blockbuster Power. This album kind of came and went with no huge songs like the previous album. They were flirting with the Love Song Spiral of Doom© that claimed so many bands in the 80's. However, the first song on the cassette (member those?) actually brought me to tears the first time I heard it. Here is "Ghosts":
