Friday and the Random Ten (Teenage Wasteland Edition)

Well another Friday is upon us. No rambling this time, just straight to the music.

Last week's countdown resulted in Billy Joel getting sent to Exile Island, a place he has been many times before. As usual, the rules and whatnot are up there ↑ at the top by the home tab.

********************************************************************************

Bring it!

1) The Moody Blues/The Actor (In Search of the Lost Chord) - Must try to stay awake. Must...try...

2) Red Hot Chili Peppers/Lovin' and Touchin' (Freaky Styley) - What no squeezin'? Oh wait, thats a Journey song.

3) Journey/Venus (Eclipse) - Wow, speak of the devil! For some reason I just can't buy into the new stuff though.

4) Wendy Carlos/1990's Theme (Tron soundtrack) - Unfortunately 90's music wasn't close to being this good. I blame the 80's for derailing us.

5) Anathema/Inner Silence (Hindsight) - One of the newer bands I'm trying out. I want to say we've had this same song recently but I am too lazy to go back and look.

6) The Who/Baba O'Riley (Greatest Hits) - Classic. Nuff said. I love the keyboard intro.

7) Alice Cooper/Poison (Best 80's Songs) - I forgot he tried to make a "comeback" in the 80's. It was forgettable. Welcome to the countdown. We will probably never hear from you again.

8) Trans-Siberian Orchestra/Joy, Angels We Have Heard On High (The Christmas Attic) - One of my favorites. Nothing like some Bach being played on electric guitar. And yeah I just listened to that whole thing.

9) AC/DC/Ride On (Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap) - Another classic. Makes me think of a lazy, hungover day.

10) The Police/Walking on the Moon (Reggatta de Blanc) - We haven't heard from them a whole lot. Sting and the boys have a great sound. They may go somewhere some day.

********************************************************************************

The STCS for this week goes to Styx/I'm O.K. (Pieces of Eight). Now I am sure the Spinal Tap boys would like this one. They probably even own the album (who doesn't?) In other news Billy Joel shockingly escapes Exile Island, which is left vacant this week. No Tarkus opportunity next week, and so far none this year either. Wow.

********************************************************************************

As always stay cool/dry and comfy wherever you are. Go Braves and Roll Tide!

Play us out boys!

I don't need to fight
To prove I'm right
I don't need to be forgiven.
