Friday and the Random 10 (Broken Down Car Blues Edition)

So yeah on the way home from a magical kingdom Monday I had a bit of a car problem. There was a break in the attachment where the radiator hose goes and all of my water leaked out on the highway. This caused my car to overheat badly (duh) and basically burn itself up. Thanks to a friend I was able to get home and all, but the car is toast. Literally. So now I have no car and no way into work. That's been my week, how is yours?

So last week I celebrated the end of July with a special Random 10 31. That's how we roll around here. Unfortunately that's the only rolling going on lately. Car joke, get it? Anyway, so this week's randomness comes from these albums below:

Also, we are getting back to the normal rules and things (always located up top ↑ by the home tab) so Exile Island is currently uninhabited.

Let's burn it up!

1) Camel/Remote Romance (I Can See Your House From Here) - Still smooth and jazzy, but definitely the most modern sounding I have ever heard them. Very cool.

2) Camel/Landscapes (Nude) - Uh oh. banned right away. Hope everything is working correctly.

3) Van Halen/Eruption (Van Halen) - Everyone awake now? Good, you should be.

4) Def Leppard/Hysteria (live) (Adrenalize Special Edition) - I am still not a big fan of live versions, even of my favorite bands. I don't see a point in keeping this song.

5) Kansas/Windows (Vinyl Confessions) - I knew this was Kansas right away. It just had that "sound". Must have been the violin.

6) Guns N' Roses/Better (Greatest Hits, Disc 2) - Wow, unlike the previous song I had no idea who this was when it first started. Color me surprised.

7) Enigma/Age of Loneliness (Carly's Song) (The Cross of Changes) - Never a bad tune from them. Had to wait a bit for it to get started and see where it was going, but it always takes you on a meditative journey.

8) Extreme/Cynical (Waiting for the Punchline) - One of my favorite bands who I am surprised aren't more popular than they are. Their third album is one of my desert island ones.

9) Heart/These Dreams (Essential Heart) - Man some songs make me really miss the 80's and watching music videos.

10) Kansas/Secret Service (Power) - Wow, talk about underrated! This album is fantastic. Unfortunately it gets them banned for next week.

The STCS for this week goes to Yes/Sweet Dreams (Time and a Word). Not bad. Classic oldie from them. As far as everything else goes, there may be a need to release the Kraken Tarkus next week with both Camel and Kansas getting banned. It has not shown up at all in 2015. At least with going back to the old format I can do the "normal thing". Stay tuned...

As always stay cool/dry and comfy wherever you are. Go Braves and Roll Tide!

Play us out boys!
