Survivor Season 35, Week 6 Recap

This season of Survivor is called Heroes vs Healers vs Hustlers. Eighteen players (13 remaining) were separated into three tribes according their work and life experience categories. Last week's recap can be found here.

Now, first of all, let me say that I am in no way an expert in any kind of way about this show. Actually I am only a few seasons in, but I'm starting to get the hang of it. This blog post is my way of helping me keep all things sorted out. So take it easy on me if I make mistakes.

This group is split into pairs now: Devon/Ashley and Joe/Desi. However, Ashley did reach out to Desi a bit and said if it came to it she would vote out Joe and knows she can only trust him to a point.

Devon was kind of stuck to Joe most of the time, keeping him from idol hunting. Joe saw the clue on a tree and kept moving on. He returned later that night and dug up the idol by the well.

Back at camp Ali and Ryan went at it over him siding with Chrissy and voting Roarke out. Lots of bad feelings here.

Later on they did win the Reward Challenge which got them lots of pizzas and soda. That should help them at the Immunity Challenge this time around hopefully.

Doctor Mike is becoming more and more likable. He went out and caught a fish and was intent on cooking it. However he dropped it into the fire. #HesGoneDoc Ben admired his persistence and pointed out Mike shared what little he had, yet Cole just thinks about Cole's belly.

All this culminated in Cole "passing out". Now I am not sure if it was fake or not (and neither were his tribe mates), but his face was all red and he was mumbling incoherently for a bit. Strange that medical was never called in though. I guess eating Jessica's rice was enough.

They did finish second in the Reward Challenge in which they got 1 pizza to split (hurry before Cole eats it all) and some soda.

Immunity Challenge

This challenge was a neat one. Four ropes were attached to a central plate. One by one each player would have to maneuver to the center and place a letter block, stacking them and spelling the word "immunity", and then moving backwards to their starting position, keeping the stack balanced as they go.

Soko got 3 letters before they dropped and had to restart. Levu got up to 6 and then crashed. Soko was doing better but dropped again. Yawa was slow and steady but lost it after the 8th letter. Soko made it to the final letter again but wiped out.

Finally and almost simultaneously, all three tribes got all 8 letters stacked. Yawa was able to get the person back first to win immunity. Levu finished right behind them. That left Soko going to tribal again.

Tribal Council

Ryan and JP had the man talk for a bit and were centered on Ali. However Ryan and Ali seemed to make up and talked about JP. Ali then reached out to Chrissy and talked about trust and that going forward JP was a huge threat, especially when they believe they are up against the merge next week and would lose to him individually.

With all that being said, JP got 1 vote. Ali got the other 3 and was sent home. She sat there surprised for a moment, but on the way out she looked back and said "good luck beating him" sarcastically.

So that leaves us with (total tribal votes received in parentheses):

Levu: Ashley (1), Joe* (2), Desi and Devon.

Soko: JP (1), Chrissy (2), and Ryan

Yawa: Lauren (1), Ben, Mike*, Cole, Jessica

Voted out (in order): Katrina, Simone, Patrick, Alan, Roarke, Ali

*Mike has a Hidden Immunity Idol from Week 5. Joe found one in Week 2 and played it in Week 4, but found another in Week 6.

No one has any Hidden Advantages
