Friday and the Random 10 (Pokemon Go Edition)

So yeah, I think it is about time I mentioned the craze that is currently sweeping the nation: Pokemon Go. And, no I don't play it because, in the words of my friend Scott, "I'm a grown ass man". However, I knew it was going to be huge. How? Well I play another little app called Ingress, which is also developed by Niantic, just like Pokemon GO.

As a matter of fact, all the Pokemon locations (whatever they're called) are actually the locations of portals in Ingress. Like copied straight over. Ingress portals are near objects of art, parks, and historical areas (that's why you can catch Picazulu at places like the Holocaust Museum...it wasn't meant to be disrespectful, it's that it was considered an important location in the other game).

So right now I am working on combining this countdown with a list of the Top 10 Pokemon(s?...Pokemen?...Pokemai?) as told to me by my daughters Wendy and Lorelei. It will probably suck, but here goes:

Exile Island got some new inhabitants last week from that totally rad countdown. So get comfy Elton John, and Huey Lewis and the News. And as usual, the rules and whatnot are up there ↑ at the top near the home tab.

Catch'em all!

10) The Police/Omegaman (Ghost in the Machine) - I love this album. Great stuff.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nidoqueen

9) Rick Wakeman/Harlem Slalom (White Rock II) - I have a bad feeling about the rest of this countdown.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Crobat

8) Peter Gabriel/Of These, Hope (Passion) - Never heard of this one.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Scolipede

7) Foreigner/Counting Every Minute (Inside Information) - You know, once you go love song crazy it's hard to rock again. It's like losing your fastball and can only throw junk after that.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Abomasnow

6) Bach/Minuet in G Major (Best of Bach) - Also known as from the Notebook of Anna Magdalena. Also, any excuse to play this clip:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Absol

5) The Buggles/On TV (Adventures in Modern Recording) - Great, underrated album.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Aegislash

4) HSAS/Giza (HSAS) - All I remember about them was that they were a brief band with Sammy Hagar and Neal Schon from Journey.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Weavile

3) Guns N' Roses/Don't Damn Me (Use Your Illusion I) - The world still needs more Axl Rose.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Salamence

2) God is an Astronaut/Beyond the Dying Light (Beyond the Dying Light) - Still getting into them. Good stuff.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Alakazam

1) Def Leppard/Personal Property (Adrenalize) - I mean, how can you follow up Hysteria?

The STCS for this week goes to Pink Floyd/Flaming (Piper at the Gates of Dawn). Meh. Their first album I believe. Still not impressed. Also, I take no blame for the listing of those Pokemon. Disagree if you will, but they say the suckiest one is Shuckle. I may have found my spirit animal:
