Me and my journey through life, from the highest of highs to the lowest of lows and all wacky, funny, deep, depressing and interesting points in between. My interests are varied from one end of the spectrum to another. Basically, the disappointing side of mediocre.
You all know I love me some baseball. The pennant races are heating up as the season is winding down, but wait? What is that on my TV? Is that college football I see? Is it time for my beloved Crimson Tide to start its march for (hopefully) another national championship? Yes it is. Booyah! It also means that fall is coming, and hopefully, soon enough, cooler weather down here. The temps down here are still in the 90's with the first Not So Scary Halloween Party three (!) days away. Yes, I said three days. As in Monday. Happy Labor Day ya'll, now give me some candy. With all that being said, let's get down to the real reason we are here. Looking back at last week I see that RW and The Beatles got banned. Let's see if I am right about my Tarkus prediction. As usual the rules and whatnot are up there ↑ at the top. Time for the kickoff!
Today is a very special day for the Random 10. It's Veteran's Day and also 11-11-11 (yes I will be rejoicing at 11:11am and 11 seconds). So in honor of our veterans, today's date, Pocky (Wendy will get that), The Big Ten conference (which has 11 teams) and Spinal Tap, I give you this week's Random 10 +1.
1) Boston/Can'tcha Say You Believe in Me - winner right out of the gates...as a matter of fact, everyone gets and album cover today!
2) Christina Aguilera/Hurt - no idea I even had this
3) The Commodores/The Human Zoo - yeah that's right, they're from Alabama
4) Kitaro/Symphony of the Forest - new agey, moody kinda music I never gave much listen to
5) Cyndi Lauper/Time After Time - her best song
6) YES/Countryside - a bonus track from the Tormato times....it just doesnt fit in with the album, and neither does the album cover
7) The Beatles/You've Got to Hide Your Love Away - good advice
8) The Mars Volta/Concertina - I tried to get into this but just couldnt
9) The Beatles/Nowhere Man - another classic and appropriate song
10) Enigma/In the Shadow, In the Light - now this music I love
11) Chicago/Life is What it is - this is like their soft jazzy disco album...yeah it sucks and is a terrible way to end this week's list!
Oh well, that was kind of a let down , but at least i can let Boston play us out:
