It also means that fall is coming, and hopefully, soon enough, cooler weather down here. The temps down here are still in the 90's with the first Not So Scary Halloween Party three (!) days away. Yes, I said three days. As in Monday. Happy Labor Day ya'll, now give me some candy.
With all that being said, let's get down to the real reason we are here. Looking back at last week I see that RW and The Beatles got banned. Let's see if I am right about my Tarkus prediction.
As usual the rules and whatnot are up there ↑ at the top. Time for the kickoff!
1) Jackson Browne/I'm Alive - A lot of his songs sounds the same, but when the sound is good I guess it doesn't matter.
2) Night Ranger/Sentimental Street - I find myself walking down this road from time to time.
3)
4) Little River Band/Lonesome Loser - Great song. I don't like talk of losing before Bama even plays. I hope it's not getting me ready for disappointment.
5) The Buggles/Inner City - They only did two albums but they are fantastic. Bonus video:
6) Extreme/It's a Monster - Extreme II was a fantastic album and III was even better. I'll give them the album cover winner though:
7) Christina Aguilera/Genie in a Bottle - Umm, what? I was thinking this is from one of my kids soundtracks or something. Nope. This is the chance you take with the random 10. I was going to add the "welcome to the part pal" image, but scarily enough, she has been in the countdown before. Move along, move along...
8) Soundtrack (The Little Mermaid)/Fanfare - I will own up to this one. Yeah it's mine. Problem with that?
9) Gentle Giant/Who Do You Think You Are - Some new prog I added. I'm not liking it so far. This time I can use this:
10) Journey/Once You Love Somebody - Right smack dab in the middle of the love song downward spiral. Spew! Even the album cover sucked (not even gonna show it).
Well there we go for another week. RW can't get away from the Tarkus (twice!) so I am going to go ahead and ban him for September, along with deleting the songs that tried to pop up. That should teach him. The Beatles are back though. The STCS for this week is REO Speedwagon/Can't Fight This Feeling. Man, even they knew this was a sappy song when they did fake crying at the end of the video. Who remembers that? Anywayz...
As always stay cool and dry wherever you are, and Roll Tide!
Play us out boys!
