I suppose there's always Round 2 today. Ugh...

You're All 1st Rounders to Me!
2) Jon Anderson/Top of the World - The Glass Bead Game (In the City of Angels) - This was Jon's solo album right before (and possibly the cause for) the ABWH album. It's a very mainstream, non-proggy album for the most part, and involves a lot of musicians from Toto, but if you pay close attention to it you can see where it leads into ABWH.
3) The Moody Blues/Running Out of Love (The Other Side of Life) - This is definitely the 80's here! Almost sounds like Huey Lewis & the News.
4) Trans-Siberian Orchestra/Christmas Canon Rock (The Lost Christmas Eve) - Summer is coming. Think cool thoughts.
1) Faith No More/Midnight Cowboy (Angel Dust) - I didn't really follow this band much after they hit it big in the early 90's.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5) The Doobie Brothers/The Doctor (Greatest Hits) - I vaguely remember this song. Vaguely.
7) Xandria/Euphoria (Neverworld's End) - I could have sworn I saw a video for this one before. Oh well, it's creepy anyway.
8) The Police/Next to You (Outlandos d'Amour) - Wow that's some old school Sting right there. They used to be a ska sounding kinda band.
9) The Mahavishnu Orchestra/Gita (Inner Worlds) - I am glad this one has a video. This is like a whacked out jazz band doing prog basically.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6) Def Leppard/Excitable (Hysteria) - Are you excited? From the #1 album of 1987.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
YES tried to find a "roundabout" way into the countdown, but the Tarkus got'em |
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
10) Guns N' Roses/Better (Greatest Hits Disk 2) - Damn, all these weak ass sounding boy bands have got to go. The world needs more Axl Rose.
********************************************************************************
The STCS for this week goes to Jimmy Buffett/The Wino and I Know (Boats Beaches Bars and Ballads). I can't picture Spinal Tap on a tropical island for some reason. Well, at least they could all drink together right?!? As far as Exile Island goes, no one gets added, but YES tried to show up and got Tarkus'd to earn themselves another week at sea.
********************************************************************************
Stay cool/dry/comfy wherever you are, and Roll Tide!
Enjoy your weekend!
