Survivor Blood Vs Water Week 6 Recap

Unfortunately sometimes real life intrudes and I was not able to make my predictions before this week's episode. Oh well. This week's recap is brought to you by the "sponsor" on the right. And by sponsor, I mean what I drank while watching the episode. So yeah, I am still looking for a sugar daddy. I am not ashamed. It's good business sense.

The week 5 recap can be found here.

HUNAHPU

The rice, the rice, what to do about the lack of rice? So Jeff comes strolling up to camp with a giant bag of rice, enough to cover them for the rest of the challenge. He then made them feel like one inch tall saying no tribe has ever needed as much help as they did, first losing their flint and then running out of food.

And then he made an offer. It would cost them all of the comfort items, plus half their tools, and one of their pots. Basically back to day one. They accepted. I was hoping Probst would tell them all to suck it.

Jeremy was mad though and for good reason. He thought they could tough it out for one day because you have no idea what the reward could be the next day. He thought it was dumb to give away the tarp and all that for just rice. To his benefit, he kept quiet about it all. Good move.

COYOPA

With Kelley being voted out last week, Dale figured he better start playing hard. He tells Jon that he has an idol. Jon gets together with Jaclyn and Baylor/Missy to discuss options and potentially voting the only other single out. That would be Keith. They seriously felt bad about that option. I like that dude too. And he does have an idol.

Reward Challenge

So after no reward last week because of the rearranging of teams, it returns with a reward of a Hibachi and shish kabobs (plus fire making items). Reed faced off against Baylor in a blindfolded puzzle challenge where you had to go through obstacles to "feel" a completed puzzle. Next they had to take bags of pieces back to the other end and reassemble it just by touch.

Reed won easily. Baylor gets sent to Exile Island. Now Reed was going to choose Julie to go with her, but Natalie volunteered to go instead.

Not much happened on exile, but Baylor got a clue and shared it with Natalie.

They had a feast back on Hunahpu and were all happy...until it started raining. Like monsoon raining. Jeremy was proved right and was fuming. There were no tarps or anything to keep them dry. At least they had the Hibachi to try and keep a fire in.

Julie just about lost it with the rain and cold and constant crying, but Jeremy tried to keep her spirits up because he knows he needs her not to quit.

Immunity Challenge

Julie sits out. The remaining players had to climb a wall and then push a giant cube together. At certain spots, they climbed up the cube to remove bags of puzzle pieces. At the end two people would put the flag puzzle together and raise it up.

Coyopa got out to a huge lead, but Josh/Reed were able to put the puzzle together first while Jon/Missy struggled to finish up. Hunahpu wins again.

Tribal Council

Once again, Dale started lobbying hard. He told Jon if he made it through the vote that he would give him his idol. Nobody knew if he had an idol or not though Jon believed he did.

They decided to have three vote for Dale in case he was lying, and the other two vote for Keith because he was the only other single left.

And that's how it actually played out. Missy got one vote. Keith got two, and Dale got three to be voted off the island. I would also like to point out that this is the very first time Baylor did not get a single vote! You go girl! #TeamBaylor

So that leaves us with:

Team Coyopa (Orange - 5 players): Jon, Jaclyn, Baylor, Missy and Keith*.

*has an idol

Team Hunahpu (Blue - 7 players): Josh, Reed, Wes, Alec, Jeremy, Julie, and Natalie.

Voted out (in order): Nadiya, Val, Rocker, Drew, Kelley, Dale
