So after some introductions and chitchat, Probst asks each tribe to choose a leader and then that leader has to choose a "number two". These pairs are offered a choice when they get back to camp. they can either choose to be honest and get a large bag of beans, or choose to deceive and get a smaller bag of beans and the clue to an immunity idol. This is where the drama begins.
No Collar (Nagarote)

All seems good in this camp until it was shelter making time when Joe and Vince (a coconut vendor...yeah, ok) had some disagreements over construction. Later on after Vince thought he had an alliance with Jenn, he got butthurt and lost his coconuts a bit when it appeared she was digging on Joe a little bit. It was "solved" with a clingy "oh please love me" hug that even made me uncomfortable at home. I'm guessing Jenn can't wait to write his name down.
#WeSmellBad
Blue Collar (Escameca)

Survivor Tip #1 - eating a scorpion will make you puke.
White Collar (Masaya)

Carolyn, Shirin and Max formed an immediate alliance, with an eye on Tyler joining them. While gathering materials for a shelter at camp, Carolyn kept watch on So, who made it quite obvious she was looking for something. Carolyn searched in the immediate area and found the idol before So or Joaquin could.

Immunity Challenge
This was a team challenge which started with an obstacle course to a box that could be opened by three keys, or by untying 20 knots. All three groups tried for the keys but quickly abandoned that idea. White was the first to untie the knots and open the box to remove a ladder. No collar was next, followed slowly by blue.
The ladder was then used to go up, across and down an obstacle course. Then it had to be maneuvered through a flat maze. After that the ladder was used to grab a hanging bag with five, ten, or 50 pieces.
White was easily the first one to the puzzles where they chose the 50 pieces, which was supposed to be the easiest. No collar came in next, but chose the 10 piece which was a different visual type puzzle. Once blue finally arrived they went for the 10 piece as well. Despite having a huge lead, Shirin from white struggled mightily with her puzzle. So much so that no collar and blue collar were able to pass them and win immunity.
No collar was first and got immunity plus a fire making bundle. Blue collar got immunity and a flint. White collar gets a trip to the first tribal council.

Tribal Council
Shirin thought she was in trouble for blowing the puzzle in the immunity challenge, but things quickly became centered on So and Carolyn. So had the dishonestly thing stuck to her while Carolyn was charged with being a floater and not offering much help. In the end though, they basically didn't want to move forward with someone they knew they couldn't trust. Carolyn received two votes, So got four and became the first person voted off this season.
Joaquin should be very uncomfortable right now. Maybe Vince can give him a long, awkward hug.
So that leaves us with (total votes received in parentheses):
White Collar (Masaya): Carolyn (2)*, Tyler, Max, Shirin, and Joaquin.
Blue Collar (Escameca): Dan, Kelly, Lindsey, Mike, Rodney, and Sierra.
No Collar (Nagarote): Hali, Will, Nina, Joe, Jenn, and Vince.
*Has an Immunity Idol
Voted out (in order): So
