Friday and the Random 10 (Oops I Skipped a Week Edition)

So last Friday just came and went and it never clicked in my head that I was forgetting something... until Sunday. Oops. As an excuse work has been all over the place and I've been working on a few other projects (the Refrigerator Magnet Challenge for one). I mean it's not like I haven't forgotten before.

So it's May now and I'm not even going to look at the last countdown. This one is all fresh. As usual the rules and whatnot are up there ↑ at the top.

Let's get jiggy with it!

1) C2T/Close to the Hype - Okay this was a bad rap, dance mix song thingy that I found as a random CD stuck in the Yes bin. JA sings on it and it references many Yes songs. It's one of those rare items that I would have otherwise not known about. Bonus video:

2) Chicago/Night and Day - They did a big band album that didn't totally suck, but this song does.

3) The Police/Spirits in the Material World - They did some real interesting music at times and this is one of them. Album cover winner:

4) Def Leppard/Tonight (Acoustic Version) - Good song. Never heard this one before.

5) Bob Seger/Roll Me Away - Nuff said.

6) Asia/The Last to Know - Awesome song that is pure Asia. Bonus album cover because Roger Dean(!).

7) Led Zeppelin/South Bound Suarez - No idea what happened to them by time they started making crappy music like this.

8) Billy Thorpe/No Show Tonight - Newcomer to the countdown so you know what that means!

9) AC/DC/Heatseaker - I have determined that these guys are the best for cruising at night with the windows down and the music cranking.

10) Foreigner/I'm Gonna Win - Back before they turned into a bunch of wusses just like the rest. How great was this album? Another album cover:

This may be one of the best countdowns ever. No one got banned and several classic albums. Pure awesome. The STCS for this week is The Buggles/Johnny on the Monorail (Alt Version). Cool song from a very underrated album. The expanded re-issue had this alternate version on it. Sweet!

As always stay cool (and dry) central Florida, and Roll Tide!

Play us out Bob:
