Well another week down the tubes and time to settle in on a nice, relaxing weekend. I hope. Well hopefully better than last weekend which featured a trip to Ikea...followed by a lot of screwing (and not the fun kind). Last week's countdown was a little, err, messed up because of new computer issues. Hopefully they've been resolved for this week.
As usual the rules and whatnot are up there ↑ on the top. Also, check out the Refrigerator Magnet Challenge if you get the chance.
Time to rock, and roll the bones!
1) Jimmy Buffett/Come Monday Mahavishnu Orchestra/Eternity's Breath Pt.2 - These guys are really good and the drummer is amazing.
2) AC/DC/You Shook Me All Night Long - Epicness.
3) Enigma/Gravity of Love - Nothing they do is bad.
5) Yes/Roundabout (Live version #32,215,217) - Who knows where this one was recorded but I can tell it was a really early concert.
6) The Beatles/Help! - Exactly. I'm not even sure if they can help this countdown.
7) The Alan Parsons Project/The Raven - Awesomeness. Yes this is them doing Poe's Raven to music. Nevermore!
8) Yes/You Can Be Saved - This is one of those bonus track demos from Tormato. And it sucks. No wonder it didn't make the album. Oh, and banned.
9) Chicago/Lowdown - One of the better songs from Chicago III, which I find is just a jumbled mess of jazzy ideas thrown all over the place.
10) Yes/Can I? - Say goodbye to the rest of March. I guess the answer was no, you cannot.
I still think there are some bugs in the system, but hopefully they will all be ironed out soon. This wasn't a bad list actually, even if JB tried to sneak in. The STCS is The Beatles/With a Little Help From My Friends. Dang, a great song that gets them banned for next week. Ugh.
As always stay cool (and dry) central Florida, and Roll Tide!
I knew this was playing us out as soon as it showed up:
1)Symphony X/ Of Sins and Shadows- Great symphonic / Metal mashup. You like trans Siberian- try them.
ReplyDelete2)Chris Isaak/ Waiting - good stuff
3)'Til Tuesday/ Love in a vacuum...
4)OTEP/ T.R.I.C.- brutal with great riffs. Too bad most of their songs are spoken word stuff.
5)The Cars/My Best Friends Girl- One of the most underrated bands ever.
6)Sonata Arctica/ Shamandalie- The best band you've never heard of
7)Lamb Of God/ Suffering Bastard
8)Dragonforce/Heart of a Dragon- Note to self. erase from ipod now!
9)ABBA/Chiqitita-Move along nothing to see here...
10)Anthrax/Among the Living-NICE!
