Baseball Card Weekly Update (05/04/2019)

As I have gone through all these cards I have (and using the amazing trading card database found here), I have also been compiling a wantlist that I am now posting and updating on the header of my blog's homepage. These are now the cards and items I will be focusing on from here on out.

The oldest thing I needed for my collection was this 1983 O-Pee-Chee sticker #308. This is the "foreign" version of the Topps sticker and also his rookie year.

1985 Fleer Stickers #6. I had this already, but it had been peeled and placed on card stock. I added the original to my collection this week.

Something I thought would be quite easy to find was this 1989 Topps Career Batting Leaders #1 (I had the 1990 one). These cards were distributed one per Topps blister pack sold exclusively through K-Mart stores. I found out that these were pretty rare, and I had to shell out about $16 for this! Looking at my inventory, it is in the Top 15 of most expensive cards in my collection!

Add this to the list of cards I didn't even know I needed! It is a 1984 Topps Cereal Series #11, which if you look at it is almost identical to the 1984 Ralston Purina card. You can check that out below and see why I thought I already had it.

They just moved the Topps logo and put the company logo in its place, and renamed it at the top. I guess it pays to be thorough!
