Friday and the Random 10 (The Force Awakens Edition)

Hey, guess what movie comes out today? Have you heard? I am not one of the lucky ones getting to see it today. Instead, all I have is music. Sounds like I got a bum deal on this one but here goes:

********************************************************************************

Okay so we still have one holdover on the naughty list from last week as AC/DC got Tarkus'd. I'll set them free if they can make it through this countdown. And as usual, the rules and whatnot are up there ↑ at the top near the home tab.

May the Schwartz be with you!

1) Faith No More/Evidence (King for a Day, Fool for a Lifetime) - I really don't know much of their stuff past their one good album The Real Thing.

2) Boston/Livin' For You (Walk On) - Not the best song off this album, but not the worst either. That doesn't say much does it? The quality of the vocals sound horrible.

3) Led Zeppelin/When The Levee Breaks (Led Zeppelin IV) - I just did a write up on this album. Check it out here.

4) Dennis DeYoung/By the Grace of God (The Hunchback of Notre Dame) - DDY gets all his Broadway feelings out. Still has a great voice.

5) The Black Eyed Pease/Out of My Mind (E.N.D Deluxe Edition) - Another reason I think I might be almost kinda cool.

6) Asia/Lying to Yourself (Anthologia) - This is obviously a Steve Howe song. Judging from the time period it almost sounds like his "Order of the Universe" demo that ended up on ABWH.

7) Rick Wakeman/The Enigma (Return to the Center of the Earth) - Yes this album was a rehash of previous material. Yes, it is still good and worth buying. Plus, you get to hear Jean Luc Picard narrating.

8) Tchaikovsky/The Nutcracker Suite, Russian Dance (The Legacy Collection: Fantasia) - One of my latest gifts to myself was finding this on vinyl. Apparently Disney broke up the segments in Fantasia and put them on albums back in the 1950's. I have the whole collection now.

9) Def Leppard/Mirror, Mirror (High 'n' Dry) - The start of something good for this band. Good album.

10) Jackson Browne/The Night Inside Me (The Very Best of Jackson Brown) - Think of any JB song. Yeah it sounds like that.

********************************************************************************

The STCS for this week goes to The Beatles/Norwegian Wood (Rubber Soul). Early pre-psychedelic stuff from them. They seem to be able to write songs about basically anything. Or nothing. As far as Exile Island goes no one got added, and even AC/DC got to finally leave. It's a quiet place now...

********************************************************************************

As always stay cool/dry and comfy wherever you are. Roll Tide! Beat MSU!

Because anytime I can show Fantasia stuff I will!
