Survivor: Worlds Apart Week 11 Recap

This season of Survivor is called Worlds Apart and brings us three tribes based on occupations: white collar "executives", blue collar working folks, and no collar carefree individuals.

Last week Mike tried to blow up tribal by bluffing to use his immunity idol. It worked in some respects as Dan received some unexpected votes. Back at camp they immediately had a group meeting over what just happened while Mike sat back and grinned. Will explained to Dan that he wrote his name down to split the votes between him and Tyler. At least he owned up to it. #LoyalEqualsGullible

Reward Challenge

This challenge was for a trip to an orphanage to deliver toys and supplies (and also eat tons of food). Two teams of three had to unwrap three ribbons from a pole to release a key. After unwrapping planks to build a ladder, the key was used to unlock a bag of balls that was hanging up high. They then had to run through a mesh sling to get to a catapult, which would then be used to shoot the balls onto a hill with five nets. First one to get one in each net wins.

Since there were seven members one person wasn't going to get picked (Will). Tyler, Rodney and Dan were on one team, and Mike, Sierra, and Carolyn were on the other. It was pretty close throughout, but Rodney forgot to actually bring the balls with him through the sling which cost them precious time when he had to go back and redo it. His team actually took a small lead at the catapult section with Dan doing a real good job, but Mike eventually passed him and got the fifth in first to win it.

So no reward for Rodney again and here comes the whining. No one gave up their spot for him even though it was his special day. #BirthdayBitch

At the trip it was good vibes all the way around, with Carolyn potentially considering a flip. Sierra remained quiet as usual.

Back at camp, Rodney goes into the massive plan about how he will whine and complain about everything and ask to be voted off. That way they could trick Mike into not using his immunity idol. When everyone was back at camp Rodney poured it on but Mike was like eff you I ain't buying that for a second. #TalkSlowButNotAnIdiot

Individual Immunity Challenge

The challenge this week was to hold onto a knotted rope while standing on a perch and leaning back. I thought this would be a tough one for the bigger guys while Mama C and Sierra would have an advantage because of their weight. Will was the first to drop (shocker) and was quickly followed by Dan and Sierra (whut?). Having to move down to the next knot on the rope knocked out Rodney and Mike. Tyler held on as best he could but dropped which left Carolyn as the winner.

Tribal Council

Let the scrambling begin! Basically the question was, if not Mike then who? The most common answer to that was Dan. Tyler had a strategy that would take out Mike's idol and Dan's advantage in one vote, but with only seven survivors left, things are starting to break down as far as alliances go. People are starting to be strategic about themselves. #WeakestUntilTheEnd

Mike knew what he was going to do so he was enjoying the whole process. They cast their votes, he played his idol, and sat back and watched how it played out. #PepsiAndPopcorn

Mike received four votes, but they did not count. The remaining three votes went to Tyler who was sent home. Surprisingly Dan did not get a single vote after being targeted so often in talks.

So that leaves us with (total tribal votes received in parentheses):

Blue: Dan (7), Mike (4), Rodney (2), Sierra (2)
White: Carolyn*(3)
Red: Will (4)

*Has an Immunity Idol

Voted out and on the jury (in order): Hali, Joe, Jenn, Shirin, Tyler

Voted out pre-jury (in order): So, Vince, Nina, Lindsey, Max, Joaquin, Kelly
