Team Coyopa (Orange - 5 players): Jon/Jaclyn, Baylor/Missy and Keith*.
*has an idol
Team Hunahpu (Blue - 7 players): Josh/Reed, Wes, Alec, Jeremy, Natalie, and Julie.
Scenario 1 (No Merge)
I ranked everyone from strongest to weakest in each tribe. If there is no merge and everything plays normally, then either Coyopa or Hunahpu goes to tribal.
Hunahpu - Let's start here because this could be real interesting. Do the five singles vote to break up the power couple so everyone is on even terms, or do singles try to align themselves with Josh/Reed to vote out the weakest?
The power player here I believe is Wes. If he survives, he gets to reunite with his dad. The other four have partners that have already been voted out. He would be smart to form an alliance with the only couple on his tribe because he would still be in alliance with them after the merge. Plus, if you remember Keith and Josh got along very well on Exile Island.
Prediction: Julie would be voted out. Watch for Jeremy to try something to keep her because he needs her.
Coyopa - Now this one is pretty straightforward, yet could have a major twist. There are two couples, and Keith. Keith, however, is in the power position because he has an idol. He would know they were going to vote him out, being the only single person, and would be stupid not to play his idol in this situation. That means his vote would end up being the only one that counted. So who does he choose? Does he split up Jon/Jaclyn, or Missy/Baylor?
Prediction: Missy would go. If he has to split up one couple he should take out the strongest part of the weakest pair. This would also bode well for him after the merge to be aligned with Jon/Jaclyn once he gets Wes back. Baylor would not be much of a threat after that.
Scenario 2 (Merge)
If there is a merge before anything happens, (and if it's couples > singles) then my guess is the pecking order would go something like this:
1) Jon/Jaclyn
2) Reed/Josh
3) Keith/Wes
4) Missy/Baylor
5) Jeremy
6) Alec
7) Natalie
8) Julie
Couples vote together - If it goes this way, then they will just pick off the singles one by one. Might as well start with the biggest threat to, so in that case, Jeremy is gone.
Singles align with couples - If I were the four singles I would go right after Missy/Baylor to form an alliance. Since they are the weakest couple (they have both received votes in the past), it would suddenly give them a numbers advantage to break up whatever couple they chose (if the remaining couples don't vote unanimously).
Logic would tell to take the strongest person with the weakest partner. I don't have as much faith in Jaclyn as I do the other halves. So in a power play, Jon could be blindsided.
The problem with this whole scenario though is would all four singles come together for a common plan of action? And then would they all agree on who the target should be? I'm going to say no.
In this case I think everyone just goes after the weakest single, or whoever makes themselves a target. I think Julie is out.
Guess we will all find out on Wednesday.
