As usual, the rules and whatnot are now up there ↑ on the top (yeah I just had to look up that keyboard shortcut once again). No bannings yet for 2014. Awesome.
Away we go!
1) Jeremy Bender/Emerson Lake & Palmer - Finally get some ELP and it's this barroom sounding song. Eh.
2) River of Endless Love/The Moody Blues - I'm not familiar with this song or album but it has nice vocals. I may need to give it more of a listen sometime.
3) Talkin' Talkin'/The Moody Blues - And there we have it. Banned for next week.
4) Rainmaker/Kansas - Awesome song that tells a story of a fake rainmaker that calls down a flood on a parched Kansas town with no idea how he did it.
5) Photograph/Def Leppard - Nuff said!
6) Running Water/The Moody Blues - What? Since it's the last day of the month I'm banning them for all of February. That's how things work around here.
7) Trampled Underfoot/Led Zeppelin - Now see this is some of the better LZ.
8) Fly From Here Pt IV (Bumpy Ride)/Yes - This is part of the multipart song from their last album, which is basically a song from an old Buggles demo. Automatic Roger dean album cover winner though:
9) Inside of Me/Kansas - And now they get banned for next week. That's how it goes sometimes.
10) Last Mango in Paris/Jimmy Buffett - Yeah, umm, ok.
Well that was certainly interesting with a lot of repeat performers for some reason. Kansas and The Moody Blues get respective bannings, but that only opens the door for a possible Tarkus moment next week (stay tuned!) Sometimes that's what the god of randomness hits you with and you just got to roll with the changes. The STCS for this week is Listen/Chicago. Great old school stuff from their debut album.
As always, stay cool (warm? dry?) central Florida and Roll Tide!
Play us out boys!
1) Shades of War/Testament-They kick so much ass
ReplyDelete2) Wait for Sleep/ Dream Theater – One of my faves from Images and Words
3) Kletva/Ladytron –In Czech I believe
4) Hungry for You/ The Police …
5) Are We Afraid/ Toad the Wet Sprocket- Great band but I never listened to this CD much
6) One Last Breath/ Creed- trying to repeat “With arms Wide Open”…No
7) Nightmist / Pain of Salvation – A great prog band that went so prog it’s just guitar noodling now.
8) I want My Tears Back/ Nightwish- From IMAGINAREUM – A CD you totally need to get. If you don’t like it, something is wrong.
9) Scarred /Dream Theater – My all time favorite song from them…I guess they are banned
10) Jekyll and Hyde / GTR- great CD (cassette?) but you know that
