Friday and the Random 10

Yes it's finally back! Because of certain circumstances I wasn't able to make everyone's Friday last week. Okay, I was at the beach. Deal with it. Looking back at last time, I see that the Chili Peppers are banned for being muy caliente... and showing up twice. As usual, the rules and whatnot are over there → to the right.

Enough jibber jabber! Let's get it started up!

1) Pink Floyd/On The Turning Away - Yawn. Blah.

2) Chris Squire/Safe (Canon Song) - When everyone in Yes was doing a solo album in the mid 70's, Chris did Fish Out of Water. It's one of the better ones from anyone in the band.

3) The Beatles/Lovely Rita - From that military condiment E-harmony group album you may have heard of.

4) Daft Punk/Robot Rock - I have been getting into these guys more and more. Cool stuff.
5) Apollo 440/Check Your Ego - Another awesome band. I think these last two are actually way too cool for me to be listening to. Makes me seem almost...modern...

6) Yes/Open Your Eyes - This is the title track from an unnecessary, forgettable album that I tried to like. Even the album cover was awesomely boring.

7) Yes/We Can Fly From Here - This was a demo song done basically by The Buggles (Video Killed the Radio Star) when they joined Yes in 1980 when Jon Anderson and Rick Wakeman left the band (for the 137th time). In 2012 they extended this out as a much longer piece on their CD Fly From Here. Because, you know, some songs take 32 years to get right.

8) RHCP/Under the Bridge Emerson Lake & Palmer/Jeremy Bender - From that armadillo tank thingy album.

9) Styx/Difference in the World - I wish more people would listen to the non-DDY Styx albums. It's mostly Tommy Shaw and that's good enough for me.

10) The Black Eyes Peas/Electric City - Every now and then I can get funky.

Well that's it for another week. Yes gets banned again, and RHCP tried to show up but the Tarkus took them out (they got Tarkus'd? Hmm, maybe a new idea forming here...). The STCS this time around is Extreme/Shadow Boxing. Great band but no one listens to them because of that damn More Than Words song. Can't guys have a gentle side every now and then?

As always, stay cool Central Florida, and Roll Tide (suck it Manziel)!
