Psych Season 1 Episode 11 Recap (He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not, He Loves Me, Oops, He’s Dead)

Thanks to a childhood spent with a family of cops, Shawn Spencer possesses an incredible photographic memory and notices seemingly insignificant details. These traits allow him to spend his jobless days providing the police with mystery solving tips - but his knowledge soon makes him a suspect. In order to clear his name, the unlikely sleuth declares he has clairvoyant abilities and launches his own investigative agency, Psych.

Episode 11: He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not, He Loves Me, Oops, He’s Dead

Flashback Scene: Shawn tried to sneak past his dad with a black eye, which he got from a girl. His dad explains that the girl liked him, but he wasn't paying her any attention.

The Case:  As a joke, Lassiter sticks Shawn with a case where a man shows up naked at the police station claiming to have been abducted by aliens, but Shawn’s investigation soon takes in him into an even stranger universe – speed dating..

After interviewing the naked guy, they discuss the details and the guy had claimed to smell lavender and see a barbed wire fence. Knowing that exact location, they both take off and arrive at a field surrounded by cops...and another naked man claiming abduction.

Shawn noticed that neither men had any tan lines. This led them to a local tanning place apparently frequented by a lot of single men (including Henry). When a third victim is found dead, and pasty white, the tanning salon is ruled out, but they all three had a clover stamp on their wrist from a restaurant that does speed dating.

Shawn and Gus infiltrate the speed dating night, with Lassie and Jules who are forced to, to find the potential assailant. Afterwards, the waiter at the restaurant was found outside one of the girl's house, and in possession of a lot of the speed dating questionnaires. When they couldn't connect him with anything, they suspected he had an accomplice and let him go.

At the next speed dating round, Shawn figured out that it was a couple working together for identity theft. The guy would steal the questionnaires, while the woman would get personal info from the guys (like mother's maiden name, fave color, pet's name, etc).

Side note: the guilty couple cracked me up as both being from Stargate SG-1:

Pineapple Sighting: Not fair because it was from a deleted scene but:

Shawn asks Gus for another pineapple juice box
