Survivor: Worlds Apart - Week 3 Recap

This season of Survivor is called Worlds Apart and brings us three tribes based on occupations: white collar "executives", blue collar working folks, and no collar carefree individuals.

********************************************************************************

In this week's episode we get to see how people are basically starting to get on each other's nerves.

No Collar (Nagarote)

We see this tribe just as they come back from voting out Vince at Tribal Council. Joe was immediately asking Will why he did not go through with the plan to split the votes between Vince/Jenn. Will claims it was just a matter of trust and he did not trust Vince anymore. Now Joe doesn't trust Will. And for some reason, right in the middle of this, Nina starts being Nina again and starts telling everyone she knows she is next to be voted out so just don't make her feel like an outsider before next vote. The crying didn't help either.

Survivor Tip #2: Having a handicap is fine, but do not become an emotional handicap to your tribe.

Also, Jenn and Hali did some body surfing which was enjoyable to watch. Hali is my official crush this season.

Blue Collar (Escameca)

It is only a matter of time before the fighting in this camp gets physical. Dan runs his mouth a little too much, and even made a bad joke about Rodney's mom. So now Rodney is bent all out of shape to the point where he was called a drama queen. But seriously, all the tension in this camp is caused by Mike, who is on everyone's case about doing work and getting crap done (even at the crack of dawn). Rodney tried to stay cool, calm and collected but it was a constant argument about doing things on "Mike's time" as opposed to everyone else's pace.

#3C'S

And then Lindsey got involved and it went Biblical y'all! She went off on him that even though he had a Bible verse tattooed on him he wasn't acting very much like the bearded guy up in the sky. She was clearly mocking him. I cannot wait for these guys to go to tribal!

#Psalm121

White Collar (Masaya)

Oh guess who is getting on everyone's nerves here? If you said (bottomless) Shirin, you would be right. She does have clothes on this week though. She will not shut up and basically annoys the whole group to the point where they think she is crazy. Never a good omen. Nothing like first thing in the morning telling everyone how you watched two howler monkeys get it on.

#MonkeySex

Most of the activities in this group centered on trying to find the idol. Carolyn let them run around all over and just sat at camp, snickering. Joaquin looks pretty desperate to find it. He even reached out a bit by showing Tyler the clue. Back in the first episode Carolyn told Tyler she had found it already, but he didn't let Joaquin know. Interesting.

Immunity Challenge

This challenge was pretty simple. Each team had to carry a giant bucket filled with holes to one end of the obstacle course and fill it with water. They then had to plug the holes with their fingers and walk the bucket back to the start and pour whatever water they have left into a barrel. Once it was filled to a certain point, it would raise the flag of the winner.

Lindsey sat out for the blue team. It was pretty much neck and neck between the white and blue teams the whole time. Red team struggled mightily again (oh Vince, where art thou?) and for some strategic reason made Nina move ahead of them and not be part of the hole plugging group. They finished way last again.

Blue team wins a close one and gets comfort items. White team came real close, but at least they got a tarp. Red goes to tribal for the second week in a row.

Tribal Council

This one was pretty simple. Either it was going to be whiny Nina, or Will who proved himself useless in immunity challenges once again. It was close, but Nina lost out three votes to Will's two. I think they were just tired of dealing with her.

So that leaves us with (total tribal votes received in parentheses):

White Collar (Masaya): Carolyn (2)*, Tyler, Max, Shirin, and Joaquin.

Blue Collar (Escameca): Dan, Kelly, Lindsey, Mike, Rodney, and Sierra.

No Collar (Nagarote): Hali, Will (2), Joe, and Jenn (2).

*Has an Immunity Idol

Voted out (in order): So, Vince, Nina
