Now that I will be returning to full time with the Mouse, I find myself in a kind of limbo about the Sea World job offer situation. Originally, I thought it was a great fall back position seeing that I do not know what the future will be at Disney. Having the orientation pushed back a week has turned out to be a good thing though, giving me time to explore all my options and repercussions.
My dilemma basically boils down to this: the overtime at Disney is really where I make my money and Sea World would only be two days a week of straight time. While security-wise it makes sense for me to try to work out the second job, financially I am better off just working the one full time gig.
I have given myself today at noon as the deadline to make my decision.
**Update**
Obviously I seemed to be leaning a certain way, and a few valuable friends have added their input. Events are also transpiring in a way that forces me to go with my gut on this one. I have to turn down Sea World. Disney wants me back on the schedule ASAP (like tomorrow) so it only supports the notion that financially this is the smarter move for now. Hopefully that doesn't completely close the door on my other options further down the road.
